A defiant country woman in a floral dress and cowboy boots stands in a farmhouse doorway, coffee mug in hand. Warm amber lamplight contrasts with stormy blue clouds and a departing pickup. Rustic furnishings, a dangling telephone, and an ornate guitar-trimmed wooden frame enrich this dramatic, nostalgic oil painting.
