A lone spotted Appaloosa stands beside a rough fence, gazing across a desert ranch road toward a blazing sunset and distant mesas. Storm clouds, a circling black bird, a windmill, and an old pickup deepen the wistful mood. Rich bronze, amber, and blue tones glow through textured, painterly brushwork and an ornate rustic frame.
